Do you find yourself flirting with the idea of a making a life change?
What holds you back from choosing to make that change?
If you know my story then you know that in 2017 I made some unexpected, out of character, major life changes. I left a successful and stable 20 year career, gave up my apartment, material possessions and lived out of a suitcase for the better part of 2 years.
This change didn’t happen overnight and I had no idea what the change would look like. All I knew was that my Soul whispered to me, it was time to change and that whisper began at least 2 years prior, if not longer.
I was living an amazing life and I had everything going for me and yet, I was unhappy for no “valid” reason.
I am a very logical person so you can imagine the confusion within me as I start checking off all the boxes to why I “should” be happy…
- Friends and family that I love = ✔️
- Successful career = ✔️
- Financial stability = ✔️
- Safe and cozy place to live = ✔️
- Vacation with friends and family = ✔️
- Autonomy to do what I want, when I want = ✔️
I could go on but I think you get the picture. I had everything I wanted and yet there was something missing. I felt a void in my life that none of these things could fill.
So, even though I didn’t know what was next for me, I knew I had to begin making some different choices that would prepare me for the bigger life change, and ultimately lead me down that path.
What change are you being asked to make?
If the answer is “I don’t know”, that is okay. You have access to the answer within you and the Universe is always conspiring to bring you what you need. All you have to do is…
Be Still
Go Within
Listen
I know you’ve heard me say it many times but it is truly that simple. When we consciously take the time to sit with our Soul and listen, we receive the answers and guidance we need. The “hard” part is trusting what we hear and choosing to take action but I know you can do this!
The Invitation…
Set aside some time, either daily, every other day or weekly, whatever resonates with you. Practice sitting in quiet solitude and ask your Soul a question. The question can be as simple as, “What do I need today to feel supported and loved?” or “What do I need to differently today?”.
Curate a question that resonates with you, sit in quiet solitude and ask your Soul the question. Then, trust whatever rises to meet you, take a moment to sit with it and if you feel called, journal about it.
Lastly, but certainly not least…
What action can you take on the insight you received?
